Tirol Castle & Bird Care Center
The ancestral Castle Tirol is the seat of the Museum of Cultural and Regional History, which treasures what’s known as one of the most extensive historical collections of the region.
Directly on the castle hill you'll find the Bird Care Centre Tirol. Here a team of experts takes care of injured birds and nurses them back to health. When possible, the birds are then released back into nature. The flight demonstrations with birds of prey and owls are fascinating both for children and adults.
The Brunnenburg is our secret tip for family excursions. Here you'll find the Agricultural Museum, which gives its visitors an insight into the life of traditional South Tyrolean farmers, mountain farmers and old trades. At the Brunnenburg, you can also observe a number of endangered animal species.
Viewing Platform Hochmuth
This panoramic platform offers a wonderful view over the Adige valley and the surrounding mountains. Two interactive telescopes give visitors all the info about the mountains they can see from the Hochmuth.
